Annapolis & the Chesapeake

Historic Annapolis, Maryland is the perfect backdrop for a leisurely cruise. Annapolis served as our nation’s first peacetime capital. Maryland’s four signers of the Declaration of Independence had homes here, which are a few minutes’ walk from each other and can still be visited and enjoyed today. A walk down its red brick-lined streets puts you in touch with four centuries of history and architecture.

Also home to the United States Naval Academy and some of the world’s best boating opportunities, Annapolis is the capital of Maryland, as well as the county seat of Anne Arundel County. Situated on the Chesapeake Bay at the mouth of the Severn River, Annapolis is a short trip from Baltimore to the North and Washington, D.C. to the West.

The Chesapeake

Few bodies of water in the world provide the beauty and diversity found in the Chesapeake Bay. The Chesapeake Bay is the largest estuary in the United States with more than 150 rivers and streams flowing into it, offering a variety of cruising and anchoring experiences.
